The OP claims that you need about 16 GB for one server, and an additional 8 GB per extra instance you want to run. This is in line with the amount of RAM the system itself will take up combined with the amount of RAM the game server will be using up after you've left it running for a couple of days. The game is - yet again - still not fully optimised, and there are still some mem. leaks present. If you don't believe me, yet again - go to the Squad Hosting Discord and ask for some usage graphs. Most of the time this amount of RAM won't be a necessity, but you could have performance issues if your RAM fills up. Not that it matters, as the dedicated boxes you'll be looking to rent will all offer more than 16 GB, anyway.
Ample RAM (5GB or more), e-commerce options for selling products, 24/7 customer service, and unlimited monthly data transfers are highly sought-after features, too. Many web hosts cap their dedicated monthly data transfer offerings at 16GB, which is probably fine for most users. Some web hosts offer unlimited monthly data transfers, but they are few and far between, and you need to read the terms of service very carefully to understand just what "unlimited" means to the host in question. In addition, companies that offer dedicated web hosting typically offer daily backups, security options, and malware detection and removal—all very important factors in your website's day-to-day operation.
Providers often bill for dedicated servers on a fixed monthly price to include specific software packages. Over the years, software vendors realized the significant market opportunity to bundle their software with dedicated servers. They have since started introducing pricing models that allow dedicated hosting providers the ability to purchase and resell software based on reduced monthly fees.

Dedicated servers are all about what you want to do. Instead of sharing a server through shared hosting, all of the space is dedicated to what you are going to build. Dedicated server space is sold by hosting providers for various rates that can range from $45 to $250 plus. Mostly this depends on the size of the server, but some hosting providers will throw in a few extra things to entice you to sign up.
Unlike a shared server, which powers multiple sites, a dedicated server hosts just one site. Website stability and reliability are the twin benefits of investing in a dedicated server—your site leverages a server's full CPU, RAM, and storage resources, as it doesn't share them with other sites. You shouldn't underestimate the importance of these benefits in terms of site speed and reliability.
FREE in WHM, AutoSSL is cPanel’s answer to the annoying problem of SSL renewals and installation. Some Certificate Authorities utilize short expiration dates on their certs (for security purposes it’s better to limit exposure if your key is compromised) requiring admins to frequently renew their certs manually to avoid a coverage lapse. You can use this tool to issue Domain Validated SSLs through Comodo at no additional charge. If you prefer a different type of SSL you can purchase a 3rd party SSL and install it directly or use our Launch Assist service and allow our System Admins to install it for you. Server Name Indication (SNI) is enabled by default to allow a single IP to support multiple SSLs.

If you register a domain with Bluehost when signing up for a hosting account, there is a domain fee that is non-refundable. This not only covers our costs, but ensures that you won't lose your domain name. Regardless of the status of your hosting service, you'll be free to manage it, transfer it after any required lock periods, or simply point it elsewhere at your convenience. Depending on your needs, Namecheap offers 3 types of Server Management: User-Responsible, Basic, and Complete. User-Responsible requires that the user takes full responsibility for server management. Basic is where core services are monitored by Namecheap with a proactive response if unexpected server failure occurs. Complete is where Namecheap runs and manages all server, software, and component services. Keep in mind Basic and Complete Managements are only available to those who have operating systems CloudLinux or CentOS and cPanel installed.
The cloud offers elasticity and flexibility to meet a range of demands for Big Data initiatives. Not all infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers are the same, though, and your organization requires performance and speed advantages to make Big Data initiatives successful. You can save a nice chunk of money if you sign up for a year or more of dedicated hosting at a time. For example, you can rent a GoDaddy dedicated server for $129 per month, but if you commit to a 12-month contract, the price drops to $79.99 per month. Chances are, if you're serious enough about your site that you think it needs a dedicated host, you're probably planning for it to be up for a year. Of course, that's where the money-back guarantees come in, and some sites definitely offer more than others in that regard, so do your research. All our web-hosting reviews cover these guarantees.
InMotion's Dedicated Servers are now using Solid State Drives (SSDs), a type of hard drive that uses no mechanical parts and provides substantial performance upgrades from traditional spinning drives. Solid State Drives give you faster read/write speeds, can handle more disk requests and can push through significantly more data than a standard Hard Disk Drive (HDD).
Most dedicated servers are packaged with a control panel. Control panels are often confused with management tools, but these control panels are actually web based automation tools created to help automate the process of web site creation and server management. Control panels should not be confused with a full server management solution by a dedicated hosting providers.

Building your website on a shared server means that your pages may be affected by a neighboring site that devours too many server resources. For example, if that site receives a huge spike in traffic, your pages might load slowly—or not at all. Investing in a dedicated server greatly reduces this potential problem, plus it gives system administrators greater control over the apps and scripts that they can install on the server, too. Shared hosting is far more limited when it comes to what you're allowed to do, because everything you do could potentially affect the other sites with which you share the server. When you've got the server all to yourself, your scripts and apps won't impinge on anyone else's bandwidth or RAM.
Hi Guys. For quite some time my community has been renting a normal game server for hosting our RP server. We are now thinking about getting a dedicated server box to expand our community as well as wanting our current server to have less lag and able to handle more player slots. We have tried a variety of hosts and think it's time to move to a dedicated server. Now to my point, is there any good dedicated server host's out there that you can recommend and that you have heard of that are good. Hopefully that are not too expensive as well. The dedicated server box must be in either the UK or Europe. The server will only need to run 1 or 2 servers so it won't need state of the art features. I appreciate the help.

Adam from QuadraNet just sent this offer over, and we haven’t had many dedicated servers posted recently, so it was great timing for this offer to come in. QuadraNet is a datacenter which has been operating since 2001. QuadraNet operates its own datacenter facilities with its own network infrastructure (AS8100), equipment and IP space. They started […]

Uptime – In a world where convenience is everything and consumers aren’t used to waiting, it is vital to ensure that a website, for example, is functional at all times; site downtime could lead to customers moving on to competitors. Dedicated hosting allows for high performance and stability to ensure that websites and other business functions are operational virtually 100% of the time (usually upwards of 99.4%). To this end, providers should offer server monitoring and back-up facilities alongside support services (described below) to keep functions running as seamlessly as possible.
Recently, we've added more formal uptime monitoring to our review process, and the results show that most Web hosts do an excellent job of keeping sites up and running. If they don't, they suffer for it in our scoring. Even if they get everything else right, sites with uptime problems aren't eligible for high scores. All services suffer ups and downs, sometimes for reasons beyond their control. Those sites that fail to address the problem are penalized accordingly.

The game hosting companies cost maybe 20 - 30 dollars less than going the dedicated route, while you get the lovely priviledge of having to share the hardware you're on with other customers also paying for sub-par performance, too many instances running on the machine you're on. This results in crap performance (read: unplayable) for games that place a high demand on servers, especially in the case of Squad, with regular dips in server TPS to levels where rubberbanding of everything occurs. Aside from having to share your hardware, there's the fact many of you game hosting providers knowingly advertise specific hardware as capable of running Squad and offer "Squad servers" for rent that have CPUs that are known and tested to be too slow in IPC / single core performance to properly run the game with a full 80-man server.
What I would do is setup the tower so it plays with the best possible performance. As nobody will be playing on it you can pull all the graphics down to their minimums. I'd set it up with a password initially until you can create a small central base with a bed where the main character will respawn and then make it player proof (dbl steel walls and off the ground).
Want to buy a Dedicated Server? You will need to begin investigating the type of hardware you want to buy and wait for it to be shipped. That doesn't even include the time it will take for you to configure your server. That could take days or possibly weeks. Do you have that kind of time? What if you outgrow your Dedicated Server? Rent a Dedicated Server from A2 Hosting and it'll be ready for you in 30-minutes or less!

The configurations of our hosting servers are designed to bring solutions tailored to professionals. Depending on your activities, you may require a configuration with more RAM, more storage space or increased processing capabilities. What's more, the OVH dedicated server series differ from one another by their bandwidth capacity and range of related services. You can also get anti-DDoS protection adapted for online gaming, the vRack private network with up to 10 Gbit/s bandwidth to connect your dedicated server to your infrastructure, and hard RAID. Choose the dedicated server that fits your needs.
Thanks for the info.
For colocation, I wouldn't go with RapidSwitch unless you have serious money to burn. While they're a very good and very professional host, there's a few hidden costs which they don't exactly tell you about when you sign up. Have a look at killercreation.co.uk. The guy who runs that - Justin - is possibly the nicest person you could ever meet. They also do standard dedicated servers which are a little more expensive than RapidSwitch, but the attitude of the company outweighs that imo. Where RapidSwitch are extremely professional, KillerCreation are much more down to earth and friendly.
Ok, thanks, Do you know how Killer Creation's normal game servers are though. And Im guessing if I just ask them they can get a Gmod server since its not on their list of games?

Dedicated hosting is a hosting configuration in which a server is devoted to a single organisation or for a single purpose, such as a website. This is in contrast to shared hosting, in which a server acts as a host to multiple clients. A dedicated hosting service is sometimes referred to as a dedicated server and can be set up in-house or externally as a service from within a data center. Let’s have a look at some of the benefits.

Congestion – Server congestion is much less of an issue with a dedicated server, especially when compared to shared hosting options. With the latter, you often run the risk of congestion due to the traffic and usage levels of other websites or applications hosted on the same server, competing for bandwidth, disk space and CPU usage. The very nature of dedicated hosting ensures that this isn’t an issue. It also works the other way; if the website in question is resource heavy then dedicated hosting may be the answer to ensure that other websites aren’t disrupted.
This is a key mechanism for hosting buyers to determine which provider is offering the right pricing mechanism of bandwidth pricing.[according to whom?] Most Dedicated Hosting providers bundle bandwidth pricing along with the monthly charge for the dedicated server. Let us illustrate this with the help of an example. An average $100 server from any of the common dedicated bandwidth providers would carry 2 TB of bandwidth. Suppose you purchased 10 servers then you would have the ability to consume 2 TB of bandwidth per server. However, let us assume that given your application architecture only 2 of these 10 servers are really web facing while the rest are used for storage, search, database or other internal functions then the provider that allows bandwidth pooling would let you consume overall 20 TB of bandwidth as incoming or outbound or both depending on their policy. The provider that does not offer bandwidth pooling would just let you use 4 TB of bandwidth, and the rest of the 16 TB of bandwidth would be practically unusable. This fact is commonly known by all hosting providers, and allows hosting providers to cut costs by offering an amount of bandwidth that frequently will not be used. This is known as overselling, and allows high bandwidth customers to use more than what a host might otherwise offer, because they know that this will be balanced out by those customers who use less than the maximum allowed.
