If a company needs a dedicated server, but doesn’t have the time or resources to manage a server themselves, dedicated hosting is a low-cost way to access the resources of a full server. A dedicated hosting provider handles the cost of building and maintaining server equipment, reducing the overhead for a business purchasing server space, and improving their return on investment.
If you register a domain with Bluehost when signing up for a hosting account, there is a domain fee that is non-refundable. This not only covers our costs, but ensures that you won't lose your domain name. Regardless of the status of your hosting service, you'll be free to manage it, transfer it after any required lock periods, or simply point it elsewhere at your convenience. You retain ownership of your domain until the end of its registration period unless you elect to extend it.

FREE in WHM, AutoSSL is cPanel’s answer to the annoying problem of SSL renewals and installation. Some Certificate Authorities utilize short expiration dates on their certs (for security purposes it’s better to limit exposure if your key is compromised) requiring admins to frequently renew their certs manually to avoid a coverage lapse. You can use this tool to issue Domain Validated SSLs through Comodo at no additional charge. If you prefer a different type of SSL you can purchase a 3rd party SSL and install it directly or use our Launch Assist service and allow our System Admins to install it for you. Server Name Indication (SNI) is enabled by default to allow a single IP to support multiple SSLs.

Dedicated hosting is an Internet hosting option in which an organization leases an entire server, which is often housed in a data center. The host not only provides the server equipment, but may also provide administration and other services. This is considered a more flexible arrangement for the client because unlike in shared server arrangements, it gives the organization total control over the server, its software and security systems. In some cases, a dedicated server can be less expensive.
Providers often bill for dedicated servers on a fixed monthly price to include specific software packages. Over the years, software vendors realized the significant market opportunity to bundle their software with dedicated servers. They have since started introducing pricing models that allow dedicated hosting providers the ability to purchase and resell software based on reduced monthly fees.
There are two main factors that make a dedicated server different from a cloud instance. First is the raw performance of your machine: there is no virtualisation layer consuming resources on a dedicated server, so you are guaranteed full use of the physical resources. Second is the level of freedom you get when managing your server. With a dedicated server, you manage everything from its configuration to the data hosted on it, and you're also responsible for ensuring its security. This way, you have full control, and can dedicate all of your server's resources to a single purpose, which is essential for certain business software applications, for example. The main benefit of a dedicated solution is the total freedom you get as a user. However, if you prefer to avoid technical constraints and focus solely on your project, an OVH Public Cloud instance might be a better choice for you.

Our proprietary game control panel that comes with all individual game servers is available as an option on dedicated servers for most games in our library, making the task of installing and managing games simple! If you choose the game control panel option, you will not have root (linux) or remote desktop (windows) access and you will only able to install games on your dedicated server.
The configurations of our hosting servers are designed to bring solutions tailored to professionals. Depending on your activities, you may require a configuration with more RAM, more storage space or increased processing capabilities. What's more, the OVH dedicated server series differ from one another by their bandwidth capacity and range of related services. You can also get anti-DDoS protection adapted for online gaming, the vRack private network with up to 10 Gbit/s bandwidth to connect your dedicated server to your infrastructure, and hard RAID. Choose the dedicated server that fits your needs.
Thanks for the info. Ok, thanks, Do you know how Killer Creation's normal game servers are though. And Im guessing if I just ask them they can get a Gmod server since its not on their list of games?
They don't offer Gmod gameservers so you would have to get a dedi. I've been using KillerCreation for around 3 years now, they're consistently on the ball with their business and I've never had any trouble or problems with them or the services they provide. For as long as KC keep up their astronomically good service, I'm going to be recommending them to anyone who will listen.

But a company looking for more power and control may need a service provider who offers dedicated hosting. With dedicated hosting, a client rents a server from a dedicated hosting provider, and has exclusive use of that server’s resources. The provider works with the client to give them the CPU, RAM, and disk space that they need. The provider builds and maintains the server, eliminating a  business’ upfront cost of purchasing their own.
Hi Guys. For quite some time my community has been renting a normal game server for hosting our RP server. We are now thinking about getting a dedicated server box to expand our community as well as wanting our current server to have less lag and able to handle more player slots. We have tried a variety of hosts and think it's time to move to a dedicated server. Now to my point, is there any good dedicated server host's out there that you can recommend and that you have heard of that are good. Hopefully that are not too expensive as well. The dedicated server box must be in either the UK or Europe. The server will only need to run 1 or 2 servers so it won't need state of the art features. I appreciate the help.

Our Managed Hosting team will also help you setup custom configurations like database clusters, software or hardware RAID, firewalls, enhanced security (CSF/LFD or OSSsec), implement NGINX, optimize your server and platform for up-time, set up Varnish, tune your LAMP environment and more. The team can setup server-side crons to save you time on repeated tasks, and provide you best-fit solutions for your particular needs.
